Chaucer Consulting, the main sponsors of Wolves, were delighted to see Lord Brian Mawhinney, Chairman of the Football League, open Wolves new Family Information Centre on 8th November.
The Family Information Centre is part of the ‘Wolves 4 Family Football’ campaign designed to encourage more young supporters through the turnstiles. The Centre will provide a central point exclusively for families on matchdays to discover an extensive amount of information about Wolves and the matchday experience, from purchasing family match tickets to community soccer schools, car parking and birthday parties.
In addition, Saturday also saw Wolves launch the Child Safe Initiative. Wolves are the first club in Football to launch this Initiative and hope that other clubs will follow their example in the future. The Child Safe Initiative provides children with free wristbands for parents’ or guardians’ contact numbers so that, in the event of a child being lost, the parent or guardian can be contacted quickly.
Even the match programme was involved in the family fun on Saturday. It was designed by competition winner ‘Miranda Burton’ to mark the first ‘Wolves 4 Family Football’ games at Molineux.
